The company initially produced precision engineering components for watches and instruments, but by 1968 specialized in turntables. Micro Seiki became an industry leader through its development of advanced vinyl playback technologies, including external belt-drive motors, air bearings, and vacuum hold-down platters. Their products, such as the BL and SX series, are highly regarded for their build quality and engineering excellence, and the brand is considered a benchmark for analog turntable design. Micro Seiki ceased operations, but its legacy endures among audiophiles worldwide.
