The Micro Seiki DQ-41 is a 2-speed direct-drive turntable manufactured between 1980 and 1983 in Japan. It features a quartz locked PLL direct-drive DC servo motor that ensures extreme speed stability and increased torque, with speeds of 33-1/3 and 45 rpm. The turntable platter is made of die-cast aluminum with a diameter of 330 mm and weight of 1.5 kg. It achieves wow and flutter of less than 0.025% and a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 63 dB (JIS) and 75 dB (DIN-B). The tonearm is a low static mass straight type with dual precision miniature ball bearings, providing a lateral sensitivity of 10 mg. It has an effective length of 237 mm, overhang of 15 mm, and a maximum tracking error of less than 1.5 degrees. The cartridge option is the GAS 2-MF moving flux high compliance type with a frequency response of 10 to 25,000 Hz ±2 dB and output voltage of 3.2 mV at 1 kHz. The turntable includes an automatic lift and stop function at the end of play. The base is made of wood, available in rosewood or ebony finishes, with specially developed anti-feedback feet for vibration isolation. Dimensions are 468 x 375 x 155 mm and weight approximately 9 kg. The DQ-41 is regarded as a quality vintage turntable with precise engineering and solid build quality, though some users note the manual cueing function requires adjustment for proper operation.
