About Lyra

Lyra is a Tokyo-based manufacturer of ultra-high-end moving coil phono cartridges, founded in 1985. The company is a collaboration between American designer Jonathan Carr, Japanese master craftsman Yoshinori Mishima, and Norwegian managing director Stig Bjorge. Each Lyra cartridge is hand-built in Japan and is widely regarded as reference-class in the analog audio community, with models such as the Delos, Kleos, Etna, and Atlas earning numerous industry awards. Lyra has historically also produced ultra-rare preamplifiers under its Lyra Connoisseur sub-brand, and continues to focus on the cartridge craft for which it is best known.
