The Lyra Etna λ Lambda phono cartridge employs an asymmetric design with a machined titanium central core surrounded by an anodized aluminum outer body, augmented by bronze and stainless-steel resonance control rods for a constrained-layer, void-free structure that minimizes resonances and enhances neutrality, transients, dynamics, and resolution. It features a yokeless dual-magnet system, diamond-coated solid boron cantilever with short one-point wire suspension mounted via high-pressure knife-edge system, and a Lyra-designed long-footprint variable-radius line-contact nude diamond stylus (3μm×70μm), slot-mounted. The X-shaped signal coils, made with 6N high-purity copper on chemically-purified high-purity iron cross-shaped formers, provide greater channel independence, improved tracking, separation, and lower crosstalk compared to traditional square coils, with 'New Angle' technology pre-biasing coils for optimal alignment and distortion-free performance. This reference-level cartridge delivers exceptional detail, purity, and dynamics, earning awards like Stereophile's Analog Component of the Year.
