The Lyra Olympos SL is a special, custom version of the Olympos phono cartridge, designed with a lower output for expert users. It features a diamond-coated boron rod cantilever and a natural diamond, Ogura-manufactured, Lyra original line-contact stylus with a 3 x 70 micrometer profile. The cartridge is praised for its ability to reveal tonal colors and microdynamic details without smearing the music's time base, providing a neutral yet richly textured sound that faithfully reproduces the music's tonal character. It is described as having snap-you-back-in-your-seat dynamics and authoritative decay, with a sound that is like a new pair of glasses, allowing the listener to discern more detail effortlessly.
