The Soundsmith Sussurro Gold LE (Limited Edition) is a meticulously hand-crafted moving-iron phono cartridge designed by Peter Ledermann and inspired by Frank Schröder. It features a newly designed moving iron element that reduces moving mass by 70%, an innovative MKII damping system, and an energy distribution path that transfers mechanical energy away from the cantilever through the cartridge body into the tonearm. This design minimizes stylus jitter, ensuring constant contact with the record groove for maximum detail retrieval. The cartridge employs a solid boron cantilever and an esoteric Contact Line stylus with a 0.10 mm square tip radius, delivering fast speed, warm tonality, and superb transient response. It is made in the USA and comes with a 2-year warranty to the original owner. The cartridge is rebuildable at a cost of which is less than 20% of the MSRP.
