The Soundsmith Sussurro Mk. II ES is a handcrafted USA-made phono cartridge inspired by Frank Schröder and designed by Peter Ledermann. It addresses critical cartridge issues with a newly designed moving iron element reducing moving mass by 70%, extremely low stored energy, enhanced MKII damping system, and innovative energy distribution via DEMS (Dynamic Energy Management System) that directs vibrations to the tonearm without reflection. This ensures the stylus maintains constant groove contact, minimizing jitter, reducing grain, and preserving detail for increased liquidity. Features include built-in azimuth adjustment, optional electrical isolation, ES series body for optimal damping, and availability in dual-coil mono.
