About the LP-S

The Benz Micro LP-S is a flagship moving coil phono cartridge from Benz Micro, renowned for its exceptional sound quality and musicality. It features a vented machined ebony wood body, a solid boron rod cantilever, and a nude line-contact diamond stylus with a mirror-polished finish. The stylus tip radius is 3 x 60 µm, and the vertical tracking angle (VTA) is set at 20 degrees. The cartridge includes a low mass ruby plate generator and a high-mass brass frame, contributing to its excellent low frequency performance and dynamic contrast. It weighs 16.4 grams and has an output voltage of 0.34 mV at 3.54 cm/s. The internal impedance is 38 ohms, and the recommended tracking force is between 1.8 and 2.2 grams, with an optimum range of 1.8 to 2.0 grams. The frequency response spans from 10 to 50,000 Hz ± 1 dB, with a channel balance better than 0.5 dB and channel separation better than 35 dB at 1 kHz.
