The Sussurro Mk. 2 Gold is a limited-edition, hand-crafted moving-iron phono cartridge designed by Peter Ledermann and inspired by Frank Schröder. It features a newly designed moving iron element that reduces moving mass by 70%, an innovative damping system, and an energy distribution path that transfers mechanical vibrations away from the cantilever through the cartridge body into the tonearm. This design minimizes stylus jitter, ensuring constant contact with the vinyl groove and preserving all recorded details. The cartridge uses a solid boron cantilever and an extremely low mass contact line nude stylus (0.10 mm square), delivering fast, detailed, and warm analog sound with excellent soundstage and depth. It offers a frequency response of 20-20,000 Hz ±1 dB, low compliance, and a recommended tracking force of 1.8 to 2.2 grams. The cartridge weighs approximately 12.2 grams and comes with a 2-year warranty to the original owner. It is also rebuildable at a cost significantly lower than the MSRP.
