About the CS23

The Boston Acoustics CS-23 is a 2-way compact bookshelf speaker designed for home theater and music systems. It features a 3.5-inch Deep Channel Design (DCD) graphite-injected polymer woofer that delivers deep, resonant bass with less amplifier power, and a 1-inch Kortec soft dome tweeter for crisp, faithful high-frequency reproduction. The speaker has a frequency response of 120 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB), an impedance of 8 ohms, and a sensitivity of 89 dB. It can handle amplifier power from 10 to 150 watts. The enclosure is bass-reflex (ported) and video-shielded with MagnaGuard magnetic shielding to prevent video interference when placed near TVs or monitors. The cabinet is vinyl finished in black or other finishes like black walnut or cherry (depending on the version). It includes 5-way gold-plated binding posts for secure and pure signal transfer, keyhole wall brackets for easy mounting, and comes with adhesive rubber feet and a black cloth grille. Dimensions are approximately 5-1/16" W x 7-11/16" H x 5-1/2" D, weighing about 3 to 4 pounds. The speaker is backed by a 5-year warranty. It is part of Boston Acoustics' Classic Series and is often sold individually or as part of surround sound packages.
