About the TL-6.5 Signature

The VTL TL-6.5 Signature line preamplifier features a fully balanced differential circuit with balanced inputs and outputs, utilizing a simple two-stage topology with a differential gain stage and output buffers for musical purity and integrity. It uses two 12AU7/ECC82 tubes per channel in a differential circuit with low negative feedback, combined with high-voltage MOSFETs to drive any load down to 600 ohms with a full rated output of 30V. The unit includes a 95-step discrete resistor relay attenuator for volume control, precision power supply regulation, and extensive filtering to block interference. The chassis is large and robust, with a prominent vertical shield separating channels and high-quality components such as laser-trimmed metal-film resistors and polypropylene capacitors. The TL-6.5 Series II upgrade incorporates newly developed FET technology for a more tube-like sound, improved linearity, and enhanced mid-bass and midrange performance. It is an exceptional match with other VTL Signature products and weighs about 21 kg with dimensions approximately 445 x 153 x 445 mm.
