About the V20

The EAR V20 integrated amplifier is a unique design featuring ten 12AX7 small-signal tubes per channel in a parallel push-pull Class A circuit with Enhanced Triode Mode, providing superb linearity and very low distortion. It uses a Balanced Bridge Mode ultra-wide-bandwidth output transformer and operates without overall feedback. The amplifier offers five line-level inputs, a tape output, and no balance control or filters, emphasizing a purist design. It delivers 20-24 watts per channel into 4, 8, or 16 ohms with a frequency response from 12 Hz to 80 kHz and a total harmonic distortion of 0.5%. The V20 is noted for its detailed, natural sound with excellent bass punch, treble finesse, and a wide, transparent soundstage. Its distinctive case design features a rounded half-moon shape with valves positioned on opposing sides and wood-capped valve covers. The amplifier weighs 22 kg and measures 42 cm wide, 44 cm deep, and 13.5 cm high.
