About the microRendu
The Sonore microRendu is an audiophile microcomputer designed specifically for high-quality digital audio streaming. It features an Ethernet input and a USB 2.0 audio output to connect directly to a USB DAC, eliminating the need for a traditional USB cable by including a USB Type A to Type B adapter. The device is purpose-built with a proprietary printed circuit board that focuses on minimizing electrical noise and jitter, using high-quality low noise regulators and a fixed frequency low jitter oscillator. It runs a customized Fedora Linux operating system optimized for audio performance and supports PCM files up to 768kHz and DSD512, including native DSD on select DACs. The microRendu supports streaming services like Tidal, Qobuz, and Spotify, and is compatible with Roon, Audirvana Plus, and Logitech Media Server. It is small and lightweight (2.2" x 0.7" x 3.5", 4.8 ounces), making it easy to integrate into existing audio setups. The device requires an external power supply (6-9 VDC at 1 Amp minimum), with optional audiophile-grade linear power supplies available to further reduce noise. It is assembled in New Hampshire and comes with a 60-day Roon trial and warranty support. The microRendu is highly regarded for its sound quality and versatility in digital audio streaming.
