The Olympia LX/is is a high-end reference preamplifier from PBN Audio featuring an all-FET circuit design and an external full-size CPSi power supply equipped with two 375VA transformers. It offers high-capacity energy storage with 80,000 uF filter capacitance and eight heavy-duty filtering chokes to ensure an extremely precise and clean current supply. The unit includes four balanced inputs, two RCA inputs, and balanced, RCA, and 75 Ohm BNC outputs compatible with PBN's proprietary impedance-matched interconnect system. It features two Caddock™ resistors in the feedback loop and comes with a remote control for volume and mute. The preamplifier measures 19"W x 4.5"H x 15"D, and the power supply measures 9.5"W x 4.5"H x 15"D. The Olympia LX/is surpasses previous LX models by incorporating a sleek volume control unit with remote control for volume, muting, and input selection. Its standalone power supply with two heavy-duty transformers and eight filtering chokes feeds the amplifier circuit the cleanest possible DC voltage, ensuring pure music reproduction. It is designed to drive demanding cable and amplifier loads and is integral to achieving the full dynamic performance of PBN speakers and amplifiers.
