The PBN Audio Olympia LXi preamplifier is a high-end, dual-chassis line preamp using an all-FET circuit design powered by an external CPS power supply with two 375VA transformers and high-capacity 80,000 uF filter capacitance for exceptionally clean and stable DC power. The CPS supply employs eight heavy-duty filtering chokes to refine the current feed to the audio circuitry, enabling very low noise and high dynamic resolution. The LXi is configured as a fully balanced line stage designed to drive demanding cable and amplifier loads, including PBN power amplifiers via its 75-ohm BNC output that works with PBN's proprietary impedance-matched interconnect system. It provides three balanced inputs and two RCA inputs, along with balanced, RCA, and 75-ohm BNC outputs, and is supplied with a remote control for volume, mute, and input selection. The preamplifier chassis measures 19 inches wide by 4.5 inches high by 15 inches deep, with the power supply measuring 9.5 inches wide by 4.5 inches high by 15 inches deep. Caddock resistors are used in vital circuits to maintain signal purity throughout the signal path.
