The GrooveMaster Vintage Direct DP2 by PBN Audio is a meticulously restored and upgraded direct-drive turntable based on the Denon DP-2000 from 1978. It features a servo-controlled AC motor with 99.998% speed accuracy and precision electronic braking for smooth stopping and speed changes. The turntable is mounted on a hand-finished, three-layer solid hardwood plinth with grains angled at 120 degrees for resonance-free stability, complemented by three steel spiked feet to eliminate vibration. It includes a Jelco SA750 (B) tone arm and advanced electrolytic capacitors and electronics to ensure decades of reliable, trouble-free service. The design blends vintage mechanical parts with modern electronics, delivering warm, lustrous sound characteristic of classic vinyl playback, while achieving exceptional speed stability and sonic performance. Custom tone arm options and dual-arm setups for stereo and mono playback are available upon request. This model is nearly plug-and-play, requiring only minor hookups, and is built to perform brilliantly for decades.
