The GrooveMaster Vintage Direct DP8 is a masterfully restored and upgraded direct-drive turntable from PBN Audio, based on the classic Denon DP80 model from 1980. It features a larger and more powerful motor than earlier models, providing outstanding stability and performance. The turntable is built on a hand-finished hardwood plinth made from three laminated layers of solid wood, available in cherry, maple, walnut, or oak, with deep liquid finishes for resonance-free stability and aesthetic appeal. It includes three steel spiked feet to eliminate vibration and advanced electrolytic capacitors and sophisticated electronics for precise speed control. The DP8 offers speeds of 33.33 and 45 rpm with a speed adjustable range of more than ±6% via a dial on the control panel, a heavy 1.8kg die-cast aluminum platter (312mm diameter), and wow and flutter less than 0.03% WRMS. It supports up to two 10-inch tonearms and is designed for audiophiles who appreciate the warm, lustrous sound of vintage vinyl playback combined with modern reliability and precision. This model is part of PBN Audio's Vintage Direct series, which are rebuilt from the ground up using original Denon parts and modern enhancements to ensure decades of trouble-free service and sonic brilliance.
