About the Q3

The Magico Q3 is a 3-way, 5-driver sealed floorstanding loudspeaker housed in a fully braced, fully damped, hard-anodized aluminum and brass enclosure. It uses three 7-inch Nano-Tec woofers, a 6-inch Nano-Tec midrange driver, and a 1-inch beryllium dome tweeter, achieving a system sensitivity of 90 dB and a nominal impedance of 5 ohms with a minimum impedance around 2.8 ohms. In-room frequency response is specified as approximately 26 Hz to 50 kHz, and recommended amplifier power ranges from about 30 to 1000 watts. The cabinet is CNC-machined from T6061 aluminum with an internal matrix bracing and optimized damping scheme to minimize resonance and driver interaction. Each speaker weighs about 250 lbs (113 kg) and measures 47" high x 16" deep x 10.5" wide, supplied with adjustable feet and floor protectors. Introduced around 2011, the Q3 was designed to offer state-of-the-art resolution, bass extension, and low distortion at a more accessible price point within the Magico lineup.
