The Magico Q5 is a flagship four-way loudspeaker designed with precision and advanced materials. It features two 9-inch woofers, one 9-inch midbass, and one 6-inch midrange driver made from Rohacell foam sandwiched between layers of carbon-nanotube material, known as Nano-Tec. The 1-inch dome tweeter is made of beryllium, providing exceptional lightness and stiffness for extended frequency response. The cabinet is a sealed-box design weighing 387 lbs (176 kg) each, constructed entirely from solid aluminum and brass with a complex inner superstructure of over 50 machined parts. It offers a frequency response from 22Hz to 50kHz (±2dB), a sensitivity of 87dB/2.83V/m, and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. Recommended amplifier power ranges from 50 to 1200 watts per channel. The Q5 is noted for its smooth, detailed, and natural sound with minimal coloration, capable of filling large rooms with high fidelity sound. It requires powerful amplification due to its low sensitivity and impedance characteristics.
