About the V

The Legacy Audio V is a very large, semi-active, four-way high-end loudspeaker system designed around controlled directivity, dipole midrange reproduction, integrated bass amplification, and the Legacy Wavelet digital processor. Each tower combines dual AMT tweeters, dipole upper-midrange and midrange/midbass drivers, an internally amplified sealed woofer, and a subwoofer section using passive radiators. The Wavelet processor provides digital crossover, time alignment, room correction, DAC, and preamplifier functions. Published specifications identify the system as having exceptionally high sensitivity in its externally amplified upper-frequency section and a nominal 4-ohm load in that range. Some published dimensions and amplifier-power figures vary slightly by version or source; the commonly cited V specification is approximately 72 inches tall and 226 pounds per tower.
