The Tannoy Westminster Royal GR is a high-end 2-way horn-loaded floorstanding loudspeaker featuring a 15" Dual Concentric driver with a paper pulp cone and a 2" round wire voice coil for low frequencies, and a 2" aluminium-magnesium alloy dome compression driver for high frequencies. It offers a frequency response of 18 Hz to 27 kHz (-6 dB), sensitivity of 99 dB (1 W @ 1 m), and can handle 175 W continuous power with peaks up to 700 W. The cabinet is a 530-liter compound horn design, hand-built from high-density birch plywood with extensive bracing and finished in luxury oiled walnut veneer with burr walnut inlays and gold anodized aluminum trims. The crossover is meticulously hand-made with premium components including ICW ClarityCap MR capacitors, low loss laminated core inductors, and thick-film resistors, all cryogenically treated for enhanced performance. The speaker includes bi-wireable binding posts plus a fifth grounding post to reduce interference. It is designed and manufactured in the UK, weighs approximately 140 kg per cabinet, and is ideal for large rooms requiring high sensitivity and dynamic range.
