The Legacy Audio Aeris is a 6-driver, 4.5-way hybrid dipole floorstanding loudspeaker system designed for audiophiles seeking exceptional sound quality and room adaptability. It features a unique dual Air Motion Tweeter system combining a 1" AMT super tweeter and a 4" AMT tweeter for extended treble response up to 30 kHz with uniform dispersion. The midrange driver is an 8" titanium-encrusted unit with a 6 lb magnetic structure imported from Italy, delivering smooth and natural midrange performance. The midwoofer is a 10" accordion edge driver with a 10 lb magnetic structure, and the bass section includes dual 12" ultra-linear bass drivers with 15 lb motors, supported by a 10" mass-loaded pneumatic passive radiator. The bass drivers are powered by dual 750 watt ICEpower Class D amplifiers per side (total 1500 watts per speaker), providing deep bass extension down to 18 Hz. The system employs a hybrid cardioid, dual rear-ported cabinet design to reduce sidewall reflections and improve imaging and soundstage. It includes a 24-bit DSP Wavelaunch room correction processor with balanced analog inputs and outputs for optimizing performance in various room environments.
