About the S20

The S20 is a compact USB digital reclocker that uses a high-precision femto-second clock (Antipodes R1i module) to re-clock an incoming USB Audio 2.0 signal and output low-jitter digital audio via S/PDIF (RCA and BNC), AES3 (XLR), and I2S (HDMI). It features an electronically isolated USB input to separate the noisy USB domain from the reclocker circuit, reducing noise and improving sound quality when feeding a DAC. The S20 is powered by an external 12V DC switching power supply, with internal Antipodes HSL50 regulation providing cleaner power to the reclocking stage, and its performance can be further enhanced by pairing it with the optional Antipodes S60 power supply. It is designed primarily as an upgrade for Antipodes servers such as the S30 and S40, adding high-quality synchronous digital outputs, and also provides a BNC femto word clock master output for clocking compatible external devices.
