About the ARCHON LOMC
The Acoustical Systems ARCHON LOMC is a time-aligned moving coil phono cartridge designed and hand-assembled in Bavaria, Germany. It features a unique uni-body construction made from a solid block of Timet 1100, an ultra-strong titanium alloy, with internal liquid damping to enhance energy transfer and preserve fine sonic details. The cartridge delivers a live-like, open, and detailed sound with rich harmonic structure, natural and colorful tonality, and outstanding reproduction of human voices. It offers a wide soundstage with organic instrument placement and wide inner dynamics. The ARCHON is compatible with modern tonearms and phono stages, making it an easy-to-match high-end cartridge. It has a stylus of Shibata EVO type and a cantilever made of C37 coated tempered aluminum. The cartridge is a numbered limited edition and is known for its strong tracking ability and low output voltage, requiring a quality phono stage for optimal performance.
