About the 9TS

The Ikeda 9TS cartridge was developed as an entry model with easy handling and a higher output voltage of 0.35mV, about twice that of the 9TT, making it compatible with a broader range of phono preamps. It maintains the superior reproduction and acoustic abilities of the Ikeda 9 series. The stylus chip is oval-shaped solid diamond, a traditional design in Ikeda cartridges, and the cantilever is made of double layered duralumin pipe. The cartridge body and magnetic yoke share the same architecture as higher-end Ikeda models, ensuring high sound quality. It reproduces a powerful analogue-like sound with a balanced frequency response from low to high. The cartridge is carefully fabricated with precise adjustments to bring out the pure sound engraved in vinyl records, fulfilling various conditions required for phono cartridges as playback tools. Ikeda Sound Labs, founded by Isamu Ikeda, a master craftsman with over 50 years of experience, handcrafts these cartridges.
