About Lexicon

Lexicon is an American audio technology company founded in 1971 by MIT professor Dr. Francis Lee and engineer Chuck Bagnaschi, growing out of earlier digital audio work for medical applications. The company pioneered digital reverb processing, introducing the industry-defining Lexicon 224 in 1979 and the studio-standard 480L in 1986, and later applied that digital signal processing expertise to high-end home theater surround processors and AV receivers such as the MC-12 and MC-10. Lexicon has been a brand of Harman International Industries since 1993; Harman itself became a Samsung Electronics subsidiary in 2017.
