Dunlavy Audio Labs, founded in 1993 by John Dunlavy in Colorado Springs, became renowned for its uncompromising, time- and phase-accurate loudspeaker designs, which set industry standards for precision and technical rigor. Leveraging Dunlavy's background in antenna and wave theory, the company introduced notable models such as the Signature Collection SC-IV/A, recognized for meticulous driver matching, first-order crossovers, and extremely tight production tolerances. Dunlavy speakers earned acclaim from discriminating audiophiles and recording engineers worldwide. After a change in ownership in 2001, John Dunlavy continued to contribute as principal engineer. Dunlavy Audio Labs ceased operations in the early 2000s, but its speakers remain highly respected for their natural sound and engineering excellence.
