The Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE Stage 2 preamplifier is a fully balanced stereo preamp featuring a hybrid passive/active design with discrete volume control using premium Dale RN55d resistors. It includes extensive upgrades over the base model, such as a premium fuse, Furutech rhodium plated IEC inlet, proprietary Wyred 4 Sound discrete voltage regulators, 48 Vishay Z-Foil resistors in the resistor ladder volume control, 16 upgraded high frequency filter capacitors, and a green OLED display. The preamp offers extremely low noise floor, triple-ripple reduction with 164,560uF capacitance, and a buffered passive/active design that switches in an active line stage for higher volume settings. It supports multiple inputs and outputs with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections, includes a fully functional remote control, 12V trigger inputs/outputs, home theater bypass, balance and absolute phase controls, and is housed in a rugged chassis with machined anodized front panels. The unit is covered by a 5-year transferable warranty and is available in black or silver finish.
