The Wilson Benesch Odyssey Centre is a 2.5-way, true linear phase, free space, ported enclosure centre channel loudspeaker with an integral stand mount. It features a 1 x 170mm (7") Wilson Benesch Tactic Isobaric bass unit, 1 x 170mm (7") Wilson Benesch Tactic bass/midrange unit, and a 1 x 25mm (1") soft dome, hand-painted silk, ultra linear Wilson Benesch specification tweeter. The speaker uses double chamber, differential reflex tuning for low frequency loading. It has a frequency response of 43Hz to 24kHz ±2dB on axis, sensitivity of 88dB SPL (2.83V/1m), and nominal impedance of 6 Ohms (minimum 4 Ohms). The crossover is first order for bass roll-off, midrange, and tweeter, using selected polypropylene capacitors and air-cored inductors. Internal wiring is multi-stranded, silver plated copper with PTFE jacket and soldered connections. Input connections are bi-wireable with in-house machined gold plated copper alloy terminals. Power handling is 200W peak unclipped program, with a maximum SPL of 111dB at 1 meter. Dimensions are 250mm (9.8") height (850mm/33.5" with stand), 470mm (22.4") width, and 310mm (12.2") depth with top plate only. Internal volume is 20 liters, and net weight is 17kg (37.4 lbs) without stand, 29kg (63.9 lbs) with stand. Available finishes include standard black and regal silver, high build gloss wood finishes such as Red Tulip, Red Birds Eye, Birds Eye Maple, Burr Walnut, Ebonised Walnut, Walnut, and satin wood finishes like Natural Cherry, Maple, and Oak. The Odyssey Centre is designed to perfectly match other Wilson Benesch models such as Chimera, A.C.T., Discovery, Curve, and Arc, making it ideal for high-end home cinema and stereo systems.
