About the HTM61 S2

The Bowers & Wilkins HTM61 S2 is a high-performance 3-way vented-box center channel speaker designed for home theatre systems. It features two 165 mm (6.5 inch) aluminium cone bass drivers for punch and precision, a 100 mm (4 inch) woven Kevlar cone FST midrange driver for clarity, and a 25 mm (1 inch) Decoupled Double Dome aluminium tweeter with Nautilus tube loading to deliver clear and precise high frequencies. The tweeter is decoupled from the main enclosure to reduce unwanted resonances and vibrations. The speaker includes two rear-mounted Flowports to enhance bass response and reduce turbulence. It has a frequency response of 50 Hz to 22 kHz ±3 dB, sensitivity of 88 dB (2.83 V, 1 m), and nominal impedance of 8 ohms (minimum 3.0 to 5.2 ohms depending on source). Recommended amplifier power is 30 to 150 watts into 8 ohms. The cabinet is available in Black Ash or White finishes, measuring 218 mm high, 590 mm wide, and 304 mm deep, weighing 17.2 kg. The HTM61 S2 is designed to partner with B&W 600 Series floorstanding speakers such as the 683 S2, providing excellent dialogue clarity and sound dispersion for home cinema setups.
