About the sonicTransporter i9 Optical
The sonicTransporter i9 Optical by Small Green Computer is a premium music server designed to run Roon Server and other audio applications with exceptional performance and silence. It features an Intel i9 processor (14th Gen in latest models) with 8 cores, enabling it to handle demanding DSP tasks such as upsampling to DSD512, digital volume control, and multiple DSP plug-ins simultaneously. The device operates passively cooled with side fins for silent operation and has a billet aluminum front for a sleek appearance. It includes an optical Ethernet port for noise-isolated network connections to compatible Roon Ready players like the Signature Rendu SE Optical and opticalRendu, enhancing audio signal purity. The unit comes pre-installed with Roon Server and supports additional music applications such as HQPlayer, DLNA, Plex Media Server, and more. It includes a 60-day Roon trial, a 19V 7A universal power supply, and a 1m LAN cable.
