The Sennheiser HD6XX, developed in partnership with Drop, is a modern revision of the renowned HD 650 headphones. It features an open, dynamic transducer design with a frequency response of 10 Hz to 41 kHz and a nominal impedance of 300 ohms. The headphones deliver a smooth, laid-back sound signature with a balanced midrange, natural bass, and a warm, vivid tonality that is not neutral but musically enjoyable. They have a detachable 6-foot cable with a 3.5 mm plug and include a 1/4 inch adapter. The HD6XX is made in Ireland and weighs 260 grams without the cable. Its open-back design is best suited for quiet environments, and it requires a good amplifier due to its high impedance. The build is vintage Sennheiser style, comfortable with a clamp that loosens over time, and all parts are replaceable.
