The Sennheiser HD 650 is a premium open-back, over-ear dynamic headphone derived from the HD 600, known for its smooth, highly resolving yet non-fatiguing sound signature. It uses an exclusive 42 mm transducer with a 38 mm diaphragm and aluminum voice coil, tuned for extended, critical listening and a natural tonal balance that avoids excessive treble emphasis. The HD 650's drivers are hand-paired and matched by measurement to achieve precise left/right channel consistency. With an impedance of 300 Ω, sensitivity around 103 dB (1 V), and a frequency response of 10 Hz – 41 kHz (–10 dB), it is well suited to high-quality desktop and studio headphone amplification for both audiophiles and professional monitoring. The open, circumaural design, soft velour earpads, and lightweight 260–269 g chassis (without cable) support long, comfortable listening sessions.
