The Monitor Audio Bronze 5 is a 2.5-way floor-standing speaker designed for high-fidelity audio reproduction. It features two 5.5-inch C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminum/Magnesium) bass and midrange drivers arranged in separate acoustic chambers with front and rear firing HiVe II ports for enhanced bass efficiency and extension. The speaker includes a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with Uniform Dispersion Waveguide for lifelike sound and extended high-frequency response. It has a frequency response of 37 Hz to 30 kHz, a sensitivity of 90 dB, and an 8-ohm nominal impedance. The crossover frequencies are approximately 600 Hz and 2.8 kHz. The cabinet is constructed from rigid 18 mm MDF with radial and cross-bracing for low coloration and features a dual chamber bass reflex design with ported front and rear HiVe II ports. The Bronze 5 supports bi-wire and bi-amp configurations via dual five-way binding posts. It comes with a magnetic grille, a speaker base for stability, and is finished in premium vinyl veneer. The speaker weighs about 11 kg (24 lbs) each and measures approximately 898 x 215 x 282 mm including grille and spikes. It is recommended to be paired with amplifiers delivering 30 to 120 watts RMS. The Bronze 5 is praised for its clarity, detailed midrange, punchy bass, and excellent stereo imaging, making it suitable for both music and home theater applications.
