The Wharfedale Diamond 10.3 is a floorstanding loudspeaker designed for home audio use, featuring a 2-way design with one 25 mm (1 inch) soft dome tweeter and one 125 mm (5 inch) mid-range driver. It has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, sensitivity of 86 dB, and a frequency response from 40 Hz to 24 kHz. The crossover frequency is set at 1800 Hz. The speaker is housed in a black cabinet with dimensions of 800 mm height, 194 mm width, and 278 mm depth, with a height of 855 mm including the stand/spikes. It supports amplifier power from 20 to 100 watts RMS. The tweeter features a neodymium magnet and a metal diffusion grid for smooth high-frequency response up to 30 kHz. The mid-range driver uses a blended SRBP cone surround with diamond profiling for improved dynamic response and reduced resonance. The speaker includes offset bi-wire terminals with gold-plated contacts for optimal connectivity. It is a wired speaker with one RCA audio input and is powered by AC. The design emphasizes low distortion and an open, spacious sound with decent detail and plenty of bass, although bass punch and dynamics are somewhat soft. The front grille is designed to have minimal impact on sound and is fixed invisibly to preserve the piano-black finish. The speaker weighs approximately 8 kg and is not suitable for outdoor use. It has been discontinued but remains a well-regarded budget floorstanding speaker option.
