The Paradigm Monitor 7 v7 is a compact floorstanding loudspeaker featuring a 3-driver, 2-1/2-way bass reflex design with a quasi-3rd-order resistive port. It includes a 25-mm (1 in) S-PAL™ dome tweeter with ferro-fluid cooling and damping, a 140-mm (5-1/2 in) S-PAL™ mid/bass driver, and a 140-mm (5-1/2 in) carbon-infused polypropylene low-frequency driver. The speaker offers a frequency response of ±2 dB from 48 Hz to 22 kHz on-axis and 48 Hz to 18 kHz at 30° off-axis. Sensitivity is rated at 91 dB in room and 88 dB anechoic. It is compatible with 8-ohm impedance and suitable for amplifier power ranging from 15 to 180 watts, with a maximum input power of 130 watts. The cabinet measures 36" H x 6.875" W x 9" D and weighs 32.6 lbs. Available finishes include Black Ash and Heritage Cherry. The design emphasizes a seamless baffle and a new plinth for stability and aesthetic appeal. Paradigm's trickle-down technology from their Reference series is evident in the use of satin-anodized pure-aluminum dome tweeter and carbon-infused polypropylene bass cone drivers, delivering refined sound quality. The Monitor 7 v7 is discontinued but remains a highly regarded model for music and home theater applications.
