The Graham Engineering Phantom III tonearm is an advanced uni-pivot design available in 9", 10", and 12" versions. It builds upon the Phantom II with significant internal improvements including a refined Magneglide™ stabilizer system that uses neodymium magnets for lateral stability, new internal wiring for enhanced detail retrieval, and an upgraded pivot design for greater dynamics. The armwand is made of titanium, contributing to lower moment of inertia and improved performance. The pivot housing assembly uses a constrained layer of brass and tungsten to enhance energy control, damping, and bearing performance. These refinements result in greater transparency, broader soundstaging, increased bass impact and extension, and improved musicality. The Phantom III also features a Stable Balance design that maintains consistent tracking force even when the tonearm is lifted above the record surface, reducing record wear and improving tracking accuracy. It is regarded as a top-tier tonearm that surpasses its predecessors and many competitors in performance.
