The GamuT Phi-7 is a sophisticated 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker that incorporates advanced proprietary technologies such as DC Coupled Midrange (DCCM) and Acoustic Coupled Driver technology. It features four 15 cm bass drivers, one midrange driver of the same size, and a 1.5 inch ring radiator tweeter arranged on a tall, narrow baffle to enhance sound dispersion and acoustic coupling with the listening room. The speaker uses a reflex-loaded design with two rear-firing ports and a three-way crossover with NRLI technology to control resonances. It supports bi-wiring and bi-amping with gold-plated terminals. The Phi-7 stands approximately 120 cm tall, 31 cm deep, and 17 cm wide, with a weight around 27 kg. It has a frequency response from 40 Hz to 40 kHz, nominal impedance of 4 ohms, and sensitivity near 89 dB. The speaker is praised for its dynamic contrast, 3D imaging, transparency, and engaging musical presence, though it may have a slightly prominent lower treble and a less warm lower-midrange. Its elegant design and adjustable feet contribute to both aesthetics and acoustic performance. The Phi-7 is suitable as a main speaker in 2-channel setups or as part of a surround system, and pairs well with a variety of amplifiers.
