About the Colibri C2

The Avantgarde Acoustic Colibri C2 is a compact 2-way, horn-loaded stand-mount loudspeaker using ultra-light driver technology to deliver very high efficiency and dynamic, lifelike sound from a small enclosure. With a system efficiency of 98 dB and a maximum sound level of 117 dB, it is well suited to use with lower-powered amplifiers while still achieving substantial sound pressure levels. A 1.5-inch ultra-light mid/high compression driver operates in a 350 mm spherical horn, while a 6.5-inch ultra-light bass driver works into horn-loaded bass blades (approx. 1,800 cm²), with crossover points at 70 Hz and 700 Hz to maintain coherence and transient accuracy. The Colibri C2 covers a rated frequency range from 70 Hz to 19 kHz, with a low cutoff that also makes integration with external subwoofers straightforward, including Avantgarde's optional C18 super low bass modules. Its compact cabinet (approx. 66 × 33 × 30 cm) and integrated rubber pads, stands, and bracket options allow both horizontal and vertical orientation, with toothed mounting rings for precise tilt and height adjustment. The speaker is built from high-grade materials with analogue horn technology and a focus on long-term reliability, and is offered in three contrasting colour combinations with optional custom finishes for the horn trumpets and driver covers.
