About the L4000

The Allnic L4000 is a premium line stage preamplifier designed with a single gain stage circuit using only one tube for amplification, which aims to reproduce purer, more detailed, spacious, and dynamic sound compared to multi-stage designs. It employs transformer coupling instead of capacitor coupling, using Allnic's proprietary nickel alloy output transformers with 78% nickel core permalloy, providing a very wide frequency response (16Hz to 75kHz) and low distortion. The preamp features a constant low output impedance of 150 ohms across all frequencies, enhancing driving capacity and sound quality. It uses a unique tube complement of 2 x E810F, 2 x 7233, and 2 x 6485 tubes, along with ultra-high-speed automatic voltage regulation tubes (6485 and 7233) to protect the amplifying tubes from AC line changes and ensure stable operation. The unit includes patented gel cap dampening tube sockets to reduce microphonics and a precision 41-silver-point motorized remote-controlled volume attenuator for precise volume control. It has a maximum output voltage of 15V RMS, a gain of 20dB, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB. The chassis measures 430 x 350 x 173 mm and weighs 16 kg (35.27 lbs). The L4000 is highly regarded for its transparent, detailed, and tonally rich sound, suitable for pairing with both tube and solid-state amplifiers.
