The NAT Audio Symmetrical is a high-end tubed line preamplifier with a dual-mono, fully balanced circuit operating in pure Class A triode mode without loop feedback. Its 12-tube complement includes 6N30P-DR and 6N1P-VI tubes in the signal path, along with 6X4WA rectifiers and OA2 voltage stabilizers. The preamplifier provides six inputs, each accepting balanced or single-ended connections, via gold-plated RCA and XLR connectors. A relay-switched resistor-ladder volume control provides precise attenuation, while the supplied remote handles volume and mute functions. It uses custom toroidal transformers, audiophile-grade capacitors, and an aluminum chassis with heatsink side panels. Published specifications include a frequency response of 0.07Hz–300kHz ±3dB, signal-to-noise ratio above 95dB (A-weighted), and THD+N below 0.03% at 1V RMS. The unit measures approximately 18.8 × 6.4 × 17.7 inches (483 × 165 × 455mm) and weighs about 37.4lb (17kg).
