About the Crescendo
The Transrotor Crescendo is a heavyweight, precision-engineered turntable with a unique sandwich construction chassis made of acrylic and aluminum layers designed to eliminate vibrational distortion. It weighs approximately 25-35 kg depending on the version and features a massive 70mm solid aluminum platter weighing 10 kg, polished to a mirror finish with a hollowed underside to reduce acoustic resonance and vibration. The turntable supports up to three tonearms simultaneously with adjustable swivel arm bases. It uses a proprietary Transrotor Magnet Drive (TMD) bearing system with shielded neodymium magnets for near-zero vibration transmission and stable speed control. The motor is belt-driven and connected to a Konstant Studio power supply that provides clean sine wave power and precise speed control at 33 1/3 and 45 RPM, with fine adjustment via trim pots. The Crescendo includes a high-quality Merlo Reference MC cartridge and a black RB 880 tonearm. The design emphasizes mechanical and material engineering excellence, with precision-machined components and a visually clean appearance by concealing drive mechanisms under the platter and chassis. Dimensions are approximately 51 cm width, 39 cm depth, and 22 cm height, with a weight around 35 kg. The Crescendo is regarded as a high-performance turntable with exemplary fit and finish, ideal for audiophiles seeking superior sound quality and vibration isolation.
