The Bergmann Audio Sleipner is a reference-level airbearing turntable and tonearm system handcrafted in Denmark, designed to minimize mechanical resistance and noise for superior analog sound reproduction. It features a 9.2 kg aluminum platter supported and centered by a thin air film, eliminating friction and mechanical noise. The plinth is a six-layer sandwich construction of powdered granite/epoxy, aluminum, and bitumen, topped with a 12mm hand-painted polyvinyl layer for optimal resonance control. The record mat is 21mm thick with three layers: two polycarbonate and one acrylic. The tonearm is a linear tracking airbearing design with a carbon fiber armtube and headshell molded in one piece, internally damped and wired with pure silver. The motor is a high precision digitally controlled DC motor with hall sensor and encoder, supporting 33 and 45 rpm speeds with microprocessor fine tuning. The air supply provides silent, clean, dry, and smooth airflow with an accessible dust filter. The system includes adjustable aluminum/ceraball feet for vibration control. Dimensions are approximately 495mm width, 440mm depth, and 230mm height, with a total weight of 35 kg. Connectors include XLR, RCA, or DIN options.
