About the TPT-3001A
The Tandberg TPT-3001A is a programmable FM tuner manufactured by Tandberg Radio in Norway around 1980-1984. It features 8 station presets, an analog tuning scale, and a robust build with a metal case. The tuner supports FM broadcast reception from 87.5 to 108 MHz with a sensitivity of approximately 0.9 µV and a signal-to-noise ratio around 82-92 dB. It offers very low distortion (mono <0.06%, stereo <0.05%) and excellent selectivity and image frequency attenuation (up to 135 dB). The unit includes a three-position de-emphasis selector (25, 50, or 75 µS), variable and fixed audio outputs, and a 75-ohm coaxial antenna input with a supplied 75/300-ohm matching transformer. It has a frequency response of 30 Hz to 15 kHz with minimal deviation and stereo separation of about 60 dB at 1 kHz. The tuner consumes about 20-34 watts of power and weighs approximately 7 kg (15 lbs). Dimensions are roughly 435 mm wide, 83 mm high, and 350 mm deep.
