The T+A Power Plant Balanced is a premium integrated amplifier designed for audiophile music lovers, featuring high-quality balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs on separate circuit boards with fully symmetrical construction. It uses advanced pulse width modulation (PWM) output stages with discrete construction and ultra-fast MOSFET transistors, supported by an oversized analog mains power supply with a toroidal transformer for low leakage fields. The amplifier delivers nominal output power of 2 x 250 watts into 4 ohms and 2 x 140 watts into 8 ohms, with peak outputs of 2 x 380 watts and 2 x 210 watts respectively. It offers a frequency response of 1 Hz to 60 kHz (+/- 3 dB), total harmonic distortion and intermodulation distortion below 0.005%, and channel separation greater than 80 dB. The unit includes tone controls, loudness function, a flat mode to bypass tone controls for pure signal path, and supports optional plug-in MM and MC phono modules. It has multiple inputs including 5 high-level RCA inputs and 2 balanced XLR inputs, pre-amplifier output, headphone output for impedances above 50 ohms, and tape output.
