The T+A Elektroakustik MP 8 is a compact multi-source player with dimensions of 270 x 95 x 270 mm and a weight of 5 kg. It supports PCM audio up to 32-bit/192kHz and includes onboard streaming support for Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, and internet radio. The MP 8 can be controlled via T+A's MusicNavigator app or switched to function as a Roon endpoint. It features a CD mechanism and DAB/FM tuner, making it a versatile source component. The device offers multiple digital inputs including 2 USB-B ports, 3 S/PDIF inputs, and 1 optical input, with a single S/PDIF coaxial digital output designed primarily to connect to T+A's DAC 8 DSD. Additional connectivity includes aptX Bluetooth, Ethernet, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), and various system control ports. The MP 8 is designed to integrate seamlessly with the DAC 8 DSD and AMP 8 power amplifier in T+A's Series 8 lineup, providing a high-quality, flexible audio source solution. It has a maximum power consumption of 20 watts and features an auto power-off function after 90 minutes without audio signal. The case is available in black or silver aluminum finishes.
