About the XII
The Systemdek XII is a premium belt-drive turntable designed with a 3-point suspended sub-chassis to isolate vibrations and enhance audio fidelity. It incorporates a heavy steel plate sub-chassis reinforced by aluminium extrusion, and is driven by a 24-pole precision synchronous high torque motor mounted on an anti-vibration assembly. The platter is typically glass, weighing approximately 1.73kg and 10mm thick, with a high-density lambs wool record mat. It supports two speeds, 33.33 and 45 rpm, with manual speed change. The design emphasizes low wow and flutter (0.09% DIN), minimal speed drift, and low rumble (78/77 dB DIN weighted), delivering clean, detailed, and dynamic sound reproduction. The Systemdek XII is regarded as a classic audiophile turntable, often paired with high-quality tonearms such as the Profile or Kuzma 4POINT for optimal performance. It is a vintage model, no longer in production, but highly sought after for its build quality and sonic characteristics.
