About the SB13 Ultra

The SVS SB13-Ultra is a sealed box subwoofer designed for audiophile-grade music and home theater applications. It features a 13.5-inch high-output woofer with a composite pulp/fiberglass cone, dual linear-roll spiders, and a bifilar wound 3-inch aluminum voice coil optimized for sealed enclosure use. The woofer's motor is FEA-optimized with a copper shorting sleeve to reduce distortion and improve thermal conductivity. The subwoofer is powered by a 1000 watt RMS (3600 watt peak) Class D STA-1000D Sledge amplifier with advanced DSP and EQ controls, including two digital parametric EQs, room gain compensation, adjustable digital delay, and a fully adjustable phase-correct speaker/sub digital crossover. The enclosure is a rigid, braced MDF cabinet available in piano gloss black or real black oak veneer finish. Inputs include stereo line-level RCA and balanced XLR connections with normal and high input voltage settings. The subwoofer weighs 92 pounds and measures approximately 17.9" H x 17.4" W x 20.4" D with grille. It includes a detachable power cord and a protective non-resonant steel mesh grille. The SB13-Ultra is known for its tight, clean bass response with low distortion and excellent transient response, making it suitable for both music and movie soundtracks.
