About the SR-L700
The Stax SR-L700 is part of the advanced Lambda series, featuring a sound element derived from the flagship SR-009 with a hand-selected thin-film diaphragm and fixed electrodes machined through three-layer stainless etching using heat diffusion. It delivers a frequency response from 7 Hz to 41,000 Hz, with a balanced sound signature that includes rich bass, clear highs, and a pleasant midrange. The headphones use a 10-click slider headband assembly for precise and comfortable fit adjustment, genuine lamb leather earpads for comfort and sound performance, and a low-capacitance wide hybrid cable made of silver-coated 6N (99.9999%) oxygen-free copper arranged in a parallel 6-strand structure to reduce capacitance and preserve signal integrity. The SR-L700 is known for its fast transient response, airy and fast bass character, and a soundstage that varies depending on the amplifier used. It weighs approximately 0.8 lb without cable and 1.1 lb with cable. The headphones require a bias voltage of 580V DC and have an impedance of 145k ohms including the cable. Left and right channels are clearly marked on the arc assembly and cables.
