About the Soundcare SuperSpike
The Soundcare SuperSpike is a uniquely constructed spike foot for Hi-Fi equipment that combines superior sound isolation with surface protection. It features a high-quality spike made of first-class case hardened steel with a rounded tip (0.5 mm diameter) standing in a crater with a flat bottom, providing a very small contact area and enormous strength. The spike assembly includes a sturdy ABS or polycarbonate housing, a zinc casing to reduce resonances, a zinc disc with a mild steel insert, and a self-adhesive felt disc with high-performance 3M tape for the adhesive version. The spikes are available in threaded versions (M6, M8, 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch) and self-adhesive versions, allowing use under various Hi-Fi components such as speakers, amplifiers, CD players, and turntables. The design allows moving equipment without scratching surfaces, while the spike tip can withstand loads up to 400 kg, producing pressure over 6,200 kg per square centimeter, resulting in improved soundstage, lower distortion, and better low-frequency control. The product is handmade in Norway and is highly regarded by audiophiles worldwide for its sonic benefits and durability.
